Weather Phenomena Then Call NWS if:

Tornado

see a Tornado, Waterspout or Funnel

Thunderstorm

Frequent Lightning or Damaging Winds

Hail

1/2 inch (dime size) or larger

Heavy Rain

1 inch or more with 12 hours or,
1/2 inch or more within 1 hour

Flooding

Rivers approaching bankful, or ponding of water on roadways.

High Winds

Sustained or Gusts 40 mph or more.

Heavy Snow

1 inch or more in the valley/coast.
4 inches or more elsewhere.

Blowing Snow

Winds 30 mph or more, and
Visibility less than 1/2 mile

Freezing Rain

Always report, especially if accumulating

Heavy Surf/Tides

Report if causing beach erosion

Volcanic Activity
or Earthquake

always report, especially if have damage
