On this day, October 10, In 1804, A FAMOUS SNOW HURRICANE OCCURRED. THE UNUSUAL COASTAL STORM CAUSED NORTHERLY GALES FROM MAINE TO NEW JERSEY. HEAVY SNOW FELL ACROSS NEW ENGLAND, WITH THREE FEET REPORTED AT THE CREST OF THE GREEN MOUNTAINS, AND A FOOT OF SNOW AT GOSHEN, CONNECTICUT.
